CTV Driver Job Responsibilities

Responsibility
Transport freight to and from stations and hub facilities.
Pickup and delivery of large skidded freight and/or multiple piece skidded shipments.
Operate power material handling equipment for loading, weight balancing, and sequencing.
Complete required paperwork and documentation, including customs paperwork if applicable.
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Communicate effectively with hub, station facility management, and dispatch.
Maintain professional driving ability and knowledge of geographical area.
Be receptive and adaptable to change.

CTV Driver Job Requirements

Requirement
High school diploma.
12 months heavy vehicle driving experience preferred.
Class AZ (Class 1) driver’s license with good driving record required.
Air brake certification required.
Class 1 in Province of Quebec (includes air brake certification).
Certification and currency in dangerous goods handling, material handling equipment operation, ULD inspection, t-stacking.
Ability to pass Provincial Transportation physicals and written tests.
Ability to comply with FAST regulations.
Proficiency in completing TORTES application.
For PUD drivers: Proficiency using PUD processes and customs paperwork (within 90 days).
Ability to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
Must be able to be certified by a company-chosen driver training institution.
Broad (intra-provincial) geographical knowledge and knowledge of inter-provincial regulations.
Ability to read and interpret maps.
Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
Mechanical aptitude.
Understanding of ramp procedures.
Knowledge of Tortes, Famis, and other Windows-based applications (Cosmos experience an asset).
Customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and organizational skills.
Analytical ability.
Effective communication skills.
Bilingual (French and English) if residing in Quebec.
Driving record with two or fewer violations/accidents in 24 months prior to application.
